C3 Gallery Artist Reception – Join the City of Coronado and its Cultural Arts Commission as they host an artist reception to celebrate the opening of the C3 Gallery’s newest exhibition, “50 Years Ago: Inspired by the Events of 1969.” The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, in the Nautilus Room of the Coronado Community Center, 1845 Strand Way. Fifty years ago, man set foot on the moon and Woodstock became a cultural milestone, as the war in Vietnam dragged on. Sesame Street premiered on Public TV. Coronado was changed forever with the opening of the San Diego Coronado Bay Bridge as well as the Coronado Cays. This exhibition features artwork inspired the events of 1969.
