Pandemonium of Coronado Parrots

They’re baaaack!  The parrots have returned to Coronado after a winter break, noisy as ever!  This pandemonium of parrots was spotted at 2nd Street and G Avenue, paired off down the line, squawking away.

Optimist Day – February 7

The City of Coronado issued a proclamation calling the first Thursday in February as Optimist Day, in honor of Optimist International celebrating 100 years in 2019.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2019

Martin Luther King Jr. Day: The City will observe the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday on Monday, January 21, and reminds residents and businesses that some municipal facilities will remain open. Public Services crews will not sweep streets on the holiday. EDCO will perform regular residential trash collection. Certain City of Coronado departments and services will be open with varying hours of operation. Here is the holiday schedule:

Ride the Free Shuttle!

Christmas is closing in and Coronado is getting very busy, i.e. traffic is getting crazy.  Ride the free shuttle up and down Orange Avenue to make it easy on yourself.  And it’s fun!

Ride The Lights – Tonight!

Ride the Lights is set for Sunday, December 16. Meet at Spreckels Park at 4:45 p.m. Make sure you have night lights, and helmets, Enjoy cookies, cocoa and other holiday festivities after the ride. Brought to you by Coronado’s Bicycle Advisory Committee. Don’t forget to decorate your bike.
