May is Bike Month: Every May, Coronado and the community celebrate National Bike Month by bicycling to work or school, and logging miles with the San Diego Association of Government’s iCommute program. Participants also can attend one of the many bicycling events planned for Bike Month in Coronado. Join the City in any and all the planned events or just ride your bike. Coronado is proud to have been designated as both a Bicycle Friendly Community and a Bicycle Friendly Business (City Hall) at the silver level by the League of American Bicyclists. Bike month activities in May include:

  • Bike to School Day: Thursday, May 9
  • Mayor’s Ride: Saturday, May 11, at 12:30 p.m. at Spreckels Park
  • Bike to Work Day: Thursday, May 16
  • Coronado Bikes to the Movies: Tidelands Park – Friday, May 17; prescreen activities 6:30 to 8 p.m.; movie starts at 8 p.m. – Movie is Mary Poppins
